Hi guys,
How have you been? Hope you have been having fun in whatever you have been doing. Here, life is full of activities. In office trying to finish development of a project. At home trying to keep up with summer ending and back to school stuff for kiddos.
Oh well, the joys of being a working mom!
Anyways, today I would like to welcome you into another little corner of my colorful home. Our living room corner next to the kitchen counter.
Ya, the two seater really needs a couple more cushions or a throw. {Note to self!}
1. The two seater came as part of the same set as our sofa that you saw earlier.
2. Remember the wall mounted salt jars? You saw them here :)
I just added a few assorted flowers, feathers etc in them. The white and golden Baby’s breath sticks are left-overs from the crafts for Hannah’s wedding. The peacock feather is the one I picked up some time ago at WalMart. The flowers are made by me using my Silhouette Portrait.
I keep moving them around because it’s so easy and fun :)
3. The wreath! It’s a yarn wreath made with multi-colored yarn.
Wrapped the wreath form with multi-colored / shaded yarn. Embellished with one big store bought fabric flower and several more rolled fabric roses that I made from some fabric scraps which I had on hand. Added felt leaves, You + me + heart sticker and some beaded flower twig I had picked up at Michael’s clearance section a while ago. Totally love how it turned out!
Check out some details:
{Yes, you guessed it right. I added glitter to the edges of my roses, for that special ‘Varada’ touch. I am pretty cool like that! :)}
4. Believe wall-word-art.
Another of my own creations made using Silhouette Portrait. I will do a tutorial sometime soon. {Another note to self!!} You’ll also be able to order one of these online from my Etsy store shortly. (if you live in US.}
5. Kitchen counter
I do try to keep it organized, but this is one problem area in my house that gets cluttered easily and often. The permanent residents of this space are a fruit holder (purchased from Costco), a cyan colored vase (from TJMax) that has pathos plant it in and a tissue paper box. Just because we were expecting a guest at home, I took out all the stuff but at the worst times this space has car keys, crayons, legos, sun-glasses, assorted bills, mail, cellphone, iPad and whatever else small enough to fit. I am thinking of getting some coordinated baskets to get some organization in this space. Let’s see.
So? There you go. That’s another little corner of my house. Hope you liked it.
Q1: Do you have any space in your house that you feel needs organization? Have you dealt with some of the same things? I would love to hear your success stories with controlling clutter.
Q2. Do you love a colorful space or are you more of a monochrome / two-tone / neutral person? Just curious :)
Do share your thoughts.
Take care and stay blessed,
xoxo,
