:)
I feel like I can't stop smiling today. I am having my first release with 4 stamp sets with RubberStamps.com. And I am in love with the designs if I can say so myself. I am having way too much fun crafting with these after what feels like ages.
My summer this year got too busy with my day job + my older one's plan for college etc. What suffered was my crafting time in the face of 'life'! But hey, it's all about balance and I am glad I got to do the stuff that was important. Now that we are back into a routine of school (younger one) and about to drive my older one to college next weekend, I am getting back into my happy place.
And what an exciting thing to get back too - my own new collab release. Here are the goodies:
For the first day, I have 2 cards to share with you, kinda 2-for-1:
Key Ingredients:
Wonderful Wildflowers stamp set (image)
Garden Delight (sentiment)
Modern Bouquet (sentiment)
Copics - RV02, RV04, G12, G24, Y15
Rectangle dies - Stitched Rectangle dies from Simon Says Stamp and Wrapped Stitched Rectangle dies from Memory Box
Heart dies from My Favorite Things
Spellbinders Hot foil plates - Spellbinders Diamonetta Background, Spellbinders Modern Lines
Steps:
Prepare two card bases and add textural details by running the front of the card base with a hot foil plate in the Spellbinders Platinum machine. No need to use the Glimmer system as we are not foiling, only adding the pressed /embossed details. For me, the same sandwich as that used for embossing with dies works. I am also using Canson Mixed Media 96lb paper which is not too thick. Depending on your paper and machine you might need to play around a bit to get the right amount of pressure which adds details. If you observe cracking of the paper, try adding some moisture on top before running it through with some wet wipes/ misting lightly. Set these card bases aside for now.
Cut out 3 identically sized panels, smaller than your card front. For convenience's sake, I used the second largest rectangle from Stitched Rectangle dies by Simon Says Stamp.
Use a stamp positioner to stamp the floral image in the same location on all three. Color all three using Copics. I used the ones listed above.
With one of the panels, stamp one sentiment and then use a heart die + a smaller rectangular die to cut out two pieces like these:
Assemble, add second sentiment, and finish these two beauties:

I hope you check these out and also check out my Insta - @varadasharma. We are going to have some celebration (and prizes!) over there for this new launch. Can't wait!
