Card using SSS October 2015 card kit {Video}

Hello everyone!

Here’s one more card video for you. This is using the October 2015 card kit by Simon Says Stamp.

This kit has so many goodies with a flowery, pink-gold theme that I felt it was right up my alley.

Card 1 SSS Oct Card kit

For today’s card I decided to use the big bold heart stamp with geometric pattern in it and combined it with some patterned paper + other embellishments from the kit.

From conception to creation this was a very simple card to put together. I used a strip of the flower patterned paper and the gold chevron / arrow combination as the inspiration and pulled elements from those two into the overall card.

The heart was heat embossed with Martha Stewart Antique gold embossing powder and I added loose watercolouring over it with Fossilized Amber and Abandoned Coral distress inks. I also stamped tiny little hearts from the same stamp set around the main big heart to pull some black color into my card design, to keep up with black’ish leaves on the flower patterned paper stripe.

The little chevron / arrow embellishments in gold added the perfect bling and paired beautifully with one of the chevron / arrow patterned papers from the card kit.

I made one more card with this same kit. You can check it out here.
