Happy Mother’s Day – card using papers from Paper-Garden.ca

Hi friends, I have a pretty Mother’s Day card to share with you today. A big thanks to Maria from Paper-Garden for sending me sample paper packs to use for these cards. I loved how these papers come in vibrant colors and the sample packs have at least a couple shimmery ones. I combined these paper packs with dies from Spellbinders – all of these dies came from their different die clubs. (By the way, these clubs are such great value for money. A must-try, I’d say…)

Enough rambling now, here’s the card :-)

Mother's Day card 1a

I started by die cutting several flowers and leaves. I did go kinda crazy and made a bunch of these. I will be using these in future projects. :-) I added foam squares to layer the petals on these flowers, fussy cut the already-die-cut leaves to have them peek from behind each flower and added a few sequins for their centers. For a couple flowers, I added a third leaf in the middle of two on the side. #justForFun

I arranged the flowers on card front and using MISTI stamped a banner (using SSS Slate ink) and sentiments (using Archival Black ink). All these images and sentiments are from SSS Best Mom Ever stamp set.

Next I adhered the flowers clusters as you see on the card. I also used the tiny dot images from same stamp set and stamped a few here and there using Altenew Rubellite and Parrot inks.

I love all the dimension you see on the card here. Hope you give this idea a try and make something cute for your mom / aunt / grandma. Let’s celebrate these kind and caring women in our lives :-)
