Dear Akshu,
As promised at the beginning of this year, I’m writing this letter to you. I know you can’t read it yet. You are too young to do that. But that’s alright. I can wait. :-)
With this letter, I want to share with you my thoughts for you, my hopes, dreams and lots& lots of love.
When you came into my life, at first I was so scared. You were so small, so tiny. l remember, you did not even have much hair. Not even eyelashes! Your immunity was also not well developed. You got sick often. I was afraid l might not be able to take good care of you.
But slowly things changed. Your health improved. You started growing into a strong baby. And now look at you! You are such a sweet little girl. You are still petite but so full of energy. You do have a little bad temper though… I believe you got it from me. I am so sorry about that :-(
If I had to describe you in one word, I would say, “sparkly” :-) You are like a firefly – tiny but carrying a light in you. Some non-stop energy, that you spread around so generously. It is in your smile, in your sorry, in your hugs and in your squeals.
I feel so good when I come home from office and you throw your little arms around me and say, “I love you”. It makes all the hard-work of being a working mother, so very worth it!
You also have some sort of protective instinct for me. If your papa so much as raises his voice with me, even when he is really nagging me for things I should be doing for my own health, you put your little fists on your waists and pout at him angrily. Your papa likes to joke that you are Varada’s personal z-security. :-)
There are so many of your little habits, quirks that I simply adore. You are just one of a kind. Sweet, yet fiery. Sometime short tempered, but oh so much fun. Stay the same, my princess. You are so precious. Stay the same.
