Mother’s Day Flower Basket Card using Spellbinders Large Die of the Month

Another Felt project today guys. I hope you all are ready. We are making a Mother’s Day flower basket card using Spellbinders Large Die of the Month.

I started by using one of the cards whose card front I had dry embossed with Bright Days embossing folder from Spellbinders + Fun Stampers Journey.

Next I made a white panel the same size as the card front by cutting one of the card kit cards into two. In the middle of this I cut out the whole basket. This cut out the outline as well as the bottom and top half as separate pieces.

I cut the basket using the beautiful lavender wool blend felt from Benzie Design. I layered the bottom white half of the basket under the lavender one and I inlaid those two together inside the cut out white piece.

Using MISTI and the Pale Blush ink from Simon Says Stamp I used one of the older stamp sets from SSS to stamp the greeting. Then I went to town layering and adhering all the flowers and leaves to finish off the card.

I love how the felt preserves the embossed lines from dies and makes for a really pretty basket.
