Quick and easy card using SSS April 2016 card kit

Today I have a very quick and easy card made using the April 2016 card kit by Simon Says Stamp.

This month’s kit has so many stickers, clips and embellishments with words and it makes projects so very easy. The card really came together in under 10 mins from idea to completion.

I simply cut out patterned paper for the main large banner shape, die cut another paper with the sentiment on it and assembled everything together on a red card base.

I wish I had done the fish tail on my main banner slightly differently, to make it look more like the sketch, but I do like how this card turned out too. :-) The xoxo on the left is a paper clip that’s also included in the kit. I simply mounted it with foam tape. The twine is from my stash, but I am sure even a strip of matching patterned paper from the kit would have done the job here.

I do have several more ideas for using this kit including a home décor project. Will share that soon. Stay tuned to this space!

Meanwhile if you wish to try something like this, I highly recommend these monthly card kits from Simon Says Stamp. With matching patterned papers and cardstock, stamps and some die / embellishments, this kit takes the guess work out of finding the right supplies to make cards or paper projects. It also comes with six card ideas using the kit and you can also find tons of more inspiration on various blogs.

You can subscribe to this (no obligation) card kit of the month program for $24.95 plus shipping and handling. Kits can also be purchased individually at Simon Says Stamp store for $29.95 plus Shipping and Handling. And you can also buy many of the elements of the kit separately. Clicking here takes you directly to this April edition of the kit and the supplies list below has links to individual items.
