Rolled Flowers using Felt with paper crafts

Hi crafty friends, we are at the finish line today – project 5 of 5 for using felt die cuts on paper projects. So far, we made critters (bunnies – here and here), we did a basket and we also did flowers. But we did mostly flat die cuts – single or double layers of felt. I did want to try making something more dimensional. So today, I went ahead and made rolled flowers.

I started with die cutting the delicious colors from Benzie Design felt and used my trusted Surebonder detail glue gun to roll and secure these beautiful blooms. I die cut the leaves, but did not adhere them just yet. I die cut my label and used MISTI to stamp the greeting. {As usual, all supplies are listed below.}

Next I prepped by card front by dry embossing it, foam mounted my label and then hot glued my flowers and leaves around it. Lastly, for just some added bling, I added a gem in the center of each flower.

There you have it. Rolled felt flowers on a greeting card. What do you think? Yay or nay?

Also, how do you mail such dimensional cards? I have been considering using boxes to mail them. Thoughts? Let me know in the comments below.
