‘Seas The Day’ August 2021 Release Instagram hop and prizes to be won!

Hi everyone! Have you checked out our latest release for August 2021 yet? It's called 'Seas The Day'. We are giving you all one more way to hold on to summer for a bit longer. And, we are here to share some cool inspiration for you today with our Instagram hop and prizes to be won celebrating our latest release :-)

If you don’t follow me on Instagram, please do so here. I would love to welcome you in our little tribe. We do share lots more inspiration (and entertainment) over there, than we do here on the blog alone. It’s a fun place to be and yes, every month we have giveaways too :-)

I created a very dimensional card for today and I incorporated the use of one of my own stencils (physical product) also in this. Seeing all those gorgeous tattoos with sea creatures having lots of flowers around them is what inspired me. Yes, I am so happy how this one turned out. Read on to find all the details.

Here's my card:

Key Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. Use PowerPoint to lay out images, size them and print them on Canson Multi Media paper. I used Brother Laser printer for printing.

  2. Fussy cut or cut using a machine and separate all these images. I used my Brother Scan-and-Cut.

  3. Color using Gansai Tambo watercolors and add shading using Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. I used the Cadmium Yellow and Magenta colors to match with colors of my flowers.

  4. Create a top folding card using textured blue cardstock. I used one from my stash that had come with one of the older Spellbinders card kits.

  5. Ink blend with blue color to create waves. I used the Cloud slimline stencil for these waves too, just upside down.

  6. Ink blend white / slightly gray color with the same stencil to make cards.

  7. Assemble and add sentiment with the help of MISTI. I did a little stamp surgery and removed the word "shear" from one of the sentiments in Gardening Love stamp set. I stamped "You are awesome" with Hero Arts Burgundy ink to match the colors on my flowers.

  8. Finally, add clear droplets to finish off the project. :)
