Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers + Heat Embossing on Cardstock + Instagram Giveaway

Hi friends, I have a confession to make today. I am truly, madly, deeply in love with Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers stamp set. Almost to the point of obsession. ? I am going to share so many card ideas with this stamp set – almost this entire month. I will try and share ideas using different products also, but this stamp set will keep making appearances throughout the month. Hope you won’t mind. So without further ado, here’s the first card (or set of cards).

At first I created the two cards below. I heat embossed the beautiful large image onto SSS Cream cardstock with SSS Steel Navy embossing powder and one more time heat embossed the same image onto textured blue cardstock from my stash with Zing Opaque White embossing powder.

Next I die cut the word SMILE from bottom half of both these cards. This word die is from Spellbinders and came in their Small Die kit for the month of May 2018. I layered some vellum underneath and attached thin strips of blue foiled paper to cover up the glue line. For the inside of these cards, I adhered matching blue foiled paper and silver glitter paper which I had die cut using the same word die.

On this one, I inadvertently got impressions of the same embossed lines because when I ran this foiled paper through die cutting machine, I lined up the top layer to get exact position. I think the raised embossed lines on the front panel left their marks. Happy accident :-)

Now I had two leftover pieces which had beautiful heat embossing and die cut letters that said ‘SMILE’. I used the same to make two more cards. Luckily I still had the stamp still mounted in MISTI. I used it with versamark ink to create a tone-on-tone look on two more cards. At the bottom of these two cards I lined up and foam mounted the leftover pieces.

Finally I sprinkled some matching blue, white and translucent in all these cards to add just a little something :-) Hope you liked this idea for making multiple cards or a card set. Do give it a try and don’t forget to let me know how you like it.
