Simon Says Stamp Stamptember Party | Card idea 2 using Big Picture Book Labrador die

Hi my lovelies, I have one more card to share using the Big Picture Book Labrador die from Simon Says Stamp Stamptember 2018. You can check out my previous card using the same die here and the entire release here.

So here’s my card for today:

On this one, I created my puppy just like I did last time but with kraft cardstock this time, instead of white. I also went around the border with some Vintage Photo distress ink to make it look a bit more finished.  Also, I wanted this puppy to be a girl-puppy so in addition to giving her white parts for the eyes, I gave her pretty eyelashes and a bow. The bow is a simple one made with two small felt rectangles – pink one a little wider than the white one – adhered with hot glue. I did not use any special dies etc for this.

Next I worked on the background – since I was planning another Christmas card, I went with the stitched whirl background die from Simon Says Stamp. I attached the puppy to this with a mini action wobbler.

For sentiment I used more sentiment stripes from Doodlebug’s Here Comes Santa 6×6 paper pad that came in an older Simon Says Stamp card kit. I adhered each of these using foam tape. Together these sentiments read “Special Delivery” “Just because” “Tis’ the Season”. For embellishment I sprinkled some puffy hearts all around this adorable puppy girl. And finally I adhered this finished panel to a top folding black card base.
