Spellbinders + FSJ – Stamp of the month club – card idea 1

Hello friends! Wish you all a very happy new year 2019!! Hope all your crafty dreams come true this year :-)

Today Spellbinders + FSJ is coming up with a Stamp of the Month club kit. I will be sharing several card ideas through out this month using stamps from this month’s kit and today is the first idea.

This month’s stamp kit has beautiful images of keys, locks and a pair of wings with some clever, matching sentiments.

I heat embossed the wings on vellum with fine white embossing powder from Zing and also stamped a key using archival ink on patterned paper. I fussy cut the key & wings and layered everything on a heart die cut. This heart die came from one of Spellbinders’ previous die kits. This month’s “Key to My Heart Stamp Set” also has a coordinating “Key to My Heart Die Set” (DI-0507), sold separately. *You may add the die at time of subscription.

To create a base panel, I used the same patterned paper as the key, die cut it using Hemstitch rectangle dies and mounted on a black card base. A couple washi tape stripes, stamped sentiment, white sequins and a small flat backed gem on the key completed this card. I could have left it at that, but just could not — so I added white details on the key and the sentiment using my favorite gelly roll pen. {Wondering what exact supplies I used? Don’t worry, I got you covered. You will find a complete list at the bottom of this post.}
