Hi friends, I am so in love with the beautiful snowflakes from Spellbinders Small Die of the Month – Nov 2019 – Kaleidoscope Snowflake. I created two cards with these dies.
For this one, I used a couple patterned papers and a white panel. I cut the blue-green paper to be slightly smaller than an A2 card front. For red and white panels, I used the border die from Elegant Knots – APG Die of the Month Club Aug 2019 to create two panels with borders and layered them together. On the white panel, I added the sentiment “Season’s Greetings” – this stamp set is from this month’s card kit and I used Tsukineko Delicata Golden Glitz ink with it. And as the main focal point, I went for a layered snowflake which has several flat backed gems on it.
For this card, I combined the snowflakes with circle dies from several different die sets: Shapeabilities Tiffany Lavaliere Etched Dies and Shapeabilities Brillante Rondelle Etched Dies (both these from Vintage Treasures collection by Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace) along with Fancy Edged Circles. I wanted to showcase how these small die kits can work with any other products you might already have on hand.
I added the layered snowflake right in the center with a bit of inlaid die cutting. And finished off the card by stamping a tiny sentiments saying “Peace” using Simon Says Stamp Hot Lips ink and adding more flat backed gems (linked below).
There you have it. Two holiday cards using Small Die of the Month “Kaleidoscope Snowflake” for Nov 2019 by Spellbinders.
