This month’s Small Die of the Month kit – it is just so pretty and so versatile, I couldn’t stop playing with it. I created three cards – a birthday one, a thank-you / thanksgiving one and a Christmas one. :)
This die set creates several things:
Dresses – so many varieties. You can even create an apron (I did not use it on my cards though). And also shoes.
Girl – face, hair, hands and feet – you can make several different hair styles and have a hair elastic / scrunchy also. The hands are arranged in such a way that the girl can hold something – like a gift or a pie as you see above.
A gift box – complete with a ribbon and bow on top.
A Christmas tree with stars.
Pie and the baking dish for it.
Words – See You Soon.
All that for only $15 which includes free US shipping. That’s so much value for money right there. :)
I started by creating a whole bunch of these cute dresses using several different patterned paper – mostly from older Spellbinder card kits.
I used off white cardstock for the body of the girl and created several of these too.
Then I assembled a girl with soft-pink and floral colors. I assembled a pie in kinda matching colors and used these two for the thank you card. I sprinkled some gold confetti and tiny gold stars around this girl and stamped a thank you sentiment from the “Words are not enough” stamp set.
Next I assembled a gift and a Christmas tree and gave those two to the girl with the Poinsettia dress. I sprinkled some red, green and silver gems around her. All the gems, papers and the sentiment sticker for this card came from Spellbinders card kits and the Merry Everything card kit.
After making these two cards, I still had several dresses left over. So I made a birthday card for a girl with those :) Why waste? To embellish these dresses, I added some belts, a bow (from the gift topper) and a star (from the Christmas Tree die). How can you make a girl birthday card without bling, right? So I sprinkled several gems in matching colors (linked below). Oh and the sentiment stamp is from a Hero Arts stamp set (also linked below).
