Hi friends, hope life has been treating you well.
I have two Slimline Birthday cards to share with you today that has an unusual-for-me color schemes.
First one uses black-on-black cardbase and panel:
For the main focal point, I used one of our latest digital stamps - 'Here for you'. I colored the little birdie with watercolors - Studio 71 pencils, Derwent inktense pencils and Altenew watercolors.
The main cardbase and the die cut panel on top were made with black cardstock. The main background is made with the Flowering Slimline die. For the sentiment I used gold mirrored cardstock and die cut 'Happy Birthday' using Mini Slimline Envelope & Nested Card Creator - Large Die of the Month July 21 dies.
While I was at it, I made one more card:
I think from the looks of it you can tell how this card was made, correct? :-) The main difference between cardbase and background panel from the one before is Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and gold glitter paper.
The flower on this second card is from Spellbinders Stamp of the month kit - also for Jul 21. I colored it with Studio 71 and Derwent Inktense pencils and then fussy cut it out. Finally, I also used the LDOM Jul 21 to cut some green and gold foliage to tuck around the flower.
The floral / foliage die cut in the background adds a lot of details so I decided to skip any additional gems etc. I think the gold leaves and sentiment adds enough bling. What do you think? :-)
