White-on-White + Dimension + Vellum – SSD Tic Tac Toe Challenge 22

Hi crafty friends! Today is the 16th, which means time for a brand new challenge over at tic-tac-toe challenge blog. Yes, there are goodies to be won. Here’s the grid we are playing with this time:

I used the middle horizontal row – white on white, use dimension, vellum – to create two cards:

I did a lot of die cutting for this card using Sizzix Poinsettia dies with some white cardstock as well as vellum. I die cut a few swirlies using some silver paper as well as white cardstock. For my sentiment panel I die cut a circle (for the second card) and another panel using one more of my older Sizzix dies out of vellum. I used sentiments from Hero Arts stamp set and heat embossed on my vellum panels using white embossing powder.

For my first card, I also used a Darice embossing folder on the front of my card to add some beautiful texture to it. For the second one, I was layering everything on an intricate looking doily so did not add any other detail to it. (This doily came in my DT package. Thanks so much, Ka!!). I am linking to several doily products below which will work equally well for this project.

I made flower clusters using foam squares between poinsettia petals and leaves. I also layered vellum petals and leaves in between the white ones. Here’s how they look up close:

Finally I adhered everything together on a white card panel. I used sequins and clear droplets for dual purpose – as embellishments and to hide some glue underneath it so that I could secure my vellum sentiment panels ;-)
