‘Treasured Heart’ February 2021 Release Instagram hop and prizes to be won!

Happy Valentines day, everyone! Hope life is showering you with love. Today and always.

To make your day a little extra special we have our Instagram hop celebrating our latest release – Treasured Heart. For my stop I made two cards using stamps as well as our new cut files.

I made both these kinda in a batch mode – combining similar supplies and steps together.

Key Ingredients:

  1. Treasured heart Stamp set (at VaradaSharma.com | at Etsy.com)
  2. Borders Stamp set (at VaradaSharma.com | at Etsy.com)
  3. In my heart Cut files (at VaradaSharma.com | at Etsy.com)
  4. Sweethearts Cut files (at VaradaSharma.com | at Etsy.com)
  5. Spellbinders Spreading Love – Embossing Folder
  6. Deco Foil – Gold
  7. Alcohol based markers – Altenew Artist markers, Copics, and Spectrum Noir markers

Steps:

  1. Plan, size and print images from the stamp set with a laser printer. As usual I used Microsoft PowerPoint for all the planning. (If you’d like to find out how PowerPoint makes it much easier than Word to work with images, please check out one of my previous posts here.)
  2. Foil with deco foil in gold using a laminator.
  3. Add coloring details with alcohol markers. This time I really wanted to use the Altenew Artist markers, but I only own 3 of them – Mango Smoothie, Cotton Candy and Frayed Leaf. So I added other colors using some Copics and one Spectrum Noir marker in green.
  4. Cut out all these images using Brother Scan and Cut. Also cut out the sentiments using cut files. Assemble the sentiments.
  5. For the ‘You are loved’ card
  6. For the ‘Be mine’ card

There you have it – two cards using similar ingredients and techniques. That way you can combine some steps together.
