  • I love you. Always have. Always will.

Hello Crafty Friends!! It's Bhavya here from PaperSplash. Today I'm here with a CAS card created using lovely digi stamps from the February releases!! I've used one of the valentine/love themed images and two wordings from the "Love language" bundle. You can find it here or here. First I arranged the images and printed on a white card stock. Next water coloured them using distress oxide inks, added glossy accents on the nails for little interest and set it aside. For the background I've used few scraps of pattern paper by cutting into strips and adhered on a slightly smaller panel than an A2 kraft folded card base. Then this one is die cut and adhered on kraft paper I had in my stash:) Finally assembled them by adhering them on A2 folded base and embellished it with gumdrops to complete my card. That's all for now!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! You are welcome to visit my blog PaperSplash and my Instagram Craftgeekbhavya. Stay Safe and Happy Crafting!! ~Bhavya

  • November 2020 Digital Stamps Pre-release

Hi friends, festival season has already kinda started with Durga pooja, Navratri in India. Halloween is this week, next week Karwachauth, the following week Diwali then a week gap and then Thanksgiving :-) To celebrate this season and show your loved ones that you care, we would like to pre-release a couple goodies from our November collection. We have a stamp set – “Light Up The World” and a printable tags sheet “Thankful Grateful Tags“. The “Thankful Grateful Tags” is a .pdf file with 10 tags that you can print and cut out. And it’s FREE!! :-) . For this inspiration post, I decided to use the Light up the World to create a Diwali card. Pooja from @cardsncolouring intrigued me with her latest card. She made this card using our Fruit of Life and she made a comment about doing loose watercoloring. This is one style that intimidates me – I have been a manager in my IT career for a long time and I think it has also made me a little bit of a control freak. I cannot get myself to let go with the coloring. But this time I really decided to give it a go. Key Ingredients: Light up the world digital stamp set Awesome Blossom digital stamp set Spellbinders Picot Petite collection by Becca Feeken Steps: I laid out my images and printed them on Canson Mixed Media paper using my trusted Laser printer from Brother. I went back just a bit here and there to cover the printed lines with Prismacolor waterproof fine liner. Next I die cut them using Spellbinders Picot Petite rectangle die designed by Becca Feeken. To make the loose watercolor style work, I used Gansai Tambi watercolors. And to be honest, I think I faked it a bit – I did paint inside the leaves as I normally would. After doing one layer of color on each leaf, I went back in with very watered down version of the same green color and added more color around the leaves. I did the same thing on the lantern. Lastly I embellished the card front with chunky glitter + stickels and added the finished panel on a top folding A2 cardbase. Done :) I have couple more projects also to share with you. Will be sharing those in the following days. Do stay tuned. Also several of my crafty friends are sharing lot more inspiration on Instagram for these pre-release. Do check my feed to find out more and show them love. (Thanks for all your support!)
