Happy Chocolate Day {and more gift tags}

First of all,

Have a Happy Chocolate Day!

Chocolates can melt most hearts. But what can be more sweet than a store bought chocolate box is a batch of chocolates you make yourself. {I think guys can also try this recipe. It is so very simple!}

I first saw / tatsed these little lovelies when Shweta – my niece (sis-in-law’s daughter) send them with her mom to my sister’s wedding in Goa (yeah, my home-town). They were an instant hit with all the folks gathered for wedding. So I requested her to make them again for me for Valentine’s week.

Take 5 tbsp of cocoa powder + 3 cups each of milk and powdered sugar + 1 big tbsp of butter. Nuts of your choice – about 1 ~ 2 handfuls.

Add all ingredients except nuts and butter to a heavy bottomed saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring continuously. Once the mixtures starts to come together and form balls, remove from heat. Now add butter and mix thoroughly.

Add this mixture to greased chocolate mould and place nuts to decorate each piece. Refrigerate till it solidifies.

Wrap these little sweeties in colored papers and you are ready to wow your Valentine!
